Tutorials... Make your own fat suit!

This page is all about how to create your very own fat suit. No two types of fat suit is the same, different bodies require different padding in different places so it's all about picking what's right for your body and the look you're going for.

Have fun!

Male Fat Suit:

This is a male version of fat suit 1, designed without the wide hips and boobs. Like the female look this is also estimated to add 100lbs to you however the bigger the belly the more weight you put on!

You will need:
1x large blanket, preferably one about 4x as wide as you that goes up to your waist at least (half your body size)
2x Large Pillow, one you'd find on a bed
3x Smaller blankets, no more than 2ft by 4ft
2x Large scarves, the same size
2x Smaller scarves, the same size
 To keep it all in:
1x Long leggings, 1 or 2 sizes bigger than you
1x one-piece shapewear, also 2-3 sizes bigger than you
1x Bolero with long arms
You will also need clothes big enough to fit over your larger size

Picture A

1) Put the leggings on. Wrap the large blanket around you as in Picture A. Tuck the back into the leggings and take the bottom right-hand corner and pull it down the right-hand leg and wrap it round your ankle so it meets the blanket on the other side. The blanket is in theory folded in half between your legs so make sure there is enough fabric to cover your whole legs as you stand. When all the right-hand half of the fabric is tucked around the leg so it doesn't ride up, repeat for the left leg.

*This is possibly the toughest bit of my design but it looks the more realistic than other homemade suits. Practice makes perfect!

2) Take the large pillow and put it down the back of your leggings over your butt. If the blanket is large enough stuff it inside there.

TIP! If they make your butt look too small, just put another small pillow underneath the large one right over your butt.

Take one of the smaller blankets and fold it in half. Stuff it between your legs so your thighs touch if they don't already. This should make it harder to walk so you are forced to waddle. You don't have to put this in if you would prefer to not be restricted in this way but I feel it's more realistic.

3) Take the shapewear and put the bottom half on so it keeps all the pillows in place. Stuff the other large pillow in the front of your belly. You may need another small pillow if you are skinny however if you are already quite fat like me your own fat will do! To create the look of rolls of flab roll up the smaller blankets and place them across the large pillow across your belly. I must stress these need to be on the outside of the pillow to create the look! To create a belly hang get a shapewear that is even bigger than you in the suit and place a pillow in the bottom securing it with safety pins. The top belly should blend in with the hanging belly, use more safety pins to secure it.

4) To create the moobs just take the large scarves and roll up each so it fits over your chest and protrudes on top of the belly. No bit of the scarf should be showing over the shapewear so it all looks natural but the tightness of this outfit should keep it all in.

5) The final part is with the arms. There are a number of different ways of doing this part. You could either wrap a scarf round your arms to create some extra flab but this isn't as good as producing a bingo wing look. I prefer to stuff a scarf down the sleeve of a bolero jacket creating the bingo wing. You may need to use a thin scarf on your forearms if you're really skinny!

Water Belly

This tutorial is for making a belly using garbage bags and water. It makes the belly feel much heavier and more realistic than pillows or blankets.

You will need:
1x Fat suit without a belly
Multiple pairs of shape wear (anything that goes from the legs to the shoulders is good (i.e. bodysuit, catsuit, swimsuit, etc...)
2x Large garbage bags
1x Source of water (showers with detachable heads are usually the best)

1) Once you have put on your fat suit (bar the last layer depending on your design) put on a piece of shape wear.

2) Now open up both the garbage bags and put one inside the other. The reason for using two is incase the inside one has hole in it, as you don't want everything getting wet.

3) With your arm within the inside garbage bag, push it behind the shapewear. Refer to Picture A

NOTE: You may have to take the straps while doing this so you can push it down far enough.

4) Now put on any other shapewear you have. This reduces the likeliness that the belly will slip down over time as it will be a bit tighter.

5) Make your way to the source of water and before you start filling it up, make sure that the opening of the inner bag is easily accessible. Refer to Picture B.

6) Now stick the showerhead (or whatever else you've chosen) into the inner bag and start filling! Fill it only a bit first so you can rearrange it, as the garbage bags won't be very well spread out under all the shapewear. To do this you just need to grab at the bags from the outside of the suit and try and pull them where you want them. Remember to keep it nice and even! Refer to Pictures C and D.

7) Continue filling and rearranging until you are happy with the size.

8) When you're done filling, twist the top of the inner garbage bag and tie it in a knot. Make sure you get the opening of the actual bag and not just the handles (if the bag has them), or else the water might spill out. Refer to Picture E.

9) Now it's time to tie up the outer bag. Push the inner bag down so it doesn't get caught up in the outer bags' knot and tie it up the same as in Step 8.

That's it! now you have a big, wobbly and heavy belly!

Hopefully all the shape wear holds the belly in place, but depending on the weight, it might slip down a little every now and then so make sure you have access to the bag so you can pull it up when needed. For added security, usually wearing underwear / leggings / pants on the outside of the shape wear stops the belly from falling down a bit as well.
If you find that your belly still isn't big enough, feel free to use two sets of garbage bags to create an even wider and heavier belly. Just fill them up evenly as you go and it'll look and feel great!

Female Fat Suit 2

Another female shaped fat suit, this one is more of an apple shape where the big belly is the main feature. I'd estimate a look of 350lbs depending on your own size.
You will need:
lots of pants
some blouses
1x t-shirt
some towels
1x pair of tights
2x swimsuits
1x blanket
2x pillows
TIP! the suit is recommended for those who can afford to spend on plus size clothes or who has a member of their family or friends they can borrow clothes from.
1) First, put on 3 pairs of pants and 3 blouses of your size to protect the other clothes, especially if they are not your own.
2) After that, put on a pair of larger pants with 3 towels between and around your legs.
3) Next step is adding a butt made from a pillow into another pair of large pants. After that, put a swim suit on to hold everything together.
4) After that, put on more pairs of larger pants and the lower body is done.
5) Next, put on the tights and add a belly made from a pillow and a folded blanket under the t-shirt, put it in the tights and put on the last swim suit to hold everything together.
6) Finally, put on on the plus size clothes to complete your look!

Female Fat Suit 1

This is the first time I've ever done a tutorial so here it goes...

This is for a female shaped suit: I've gone with an hourglass shape; big butt, wide hips and big boobs. This will add an estimated 100lbs in this suit depending on your own size.

You will need:
1x large blanket, preferably one about 4x as wide as you that goes up to your waist at least (half your body size)
2x Large Pillow, one you'd find on a bed
2x Small Pillow, square shaped as you'd find on a sofa
3x Smaller blankets, no more than 2ft by 4ft
2x Large scarves, the same size
2x Smaller scarves, the same size
 To keep it all in:
1x Long leggings, 1 or 2 sizes bigger than you
1x one-piece swimming costume, also 2-3 sizes bigger than you
1x Bolero with long arms
1x Bra Cup sizes your desired size

Then, take the two small pillows and place them over your hips for width also inside the blanket. (See Picture B)

3) Take the swimming costume and put the bottom half on so it keeps all the pillows in place.

Picture C
4) To create the breasts just take the large scarves and roll up each so it fits in the cup and the breast fits on top of it. (See Picture C) No bit of the scarf should be showing over the cup so it all looks natural. If you don't have breasts big enough to complete this look just fit in another balled up scarf and try the best you can with what you've got!

Of course the selling point of any suit is the clothes you put over the top. Measure your new breast, waist and hip size and get yourself down to some plus size clothing stores to finish the look.

Happy fat-suiting!

  13. A far better method is to take an infinity scarf and wrap it around yourself twice. Use a small beaded/squishy pillow and place over the abdomen. Pull the scarf down far enough to tuck into your pants. You can create an overhang this way and some love handles. Put a pounds worth of rice in 4 small snack bags (smaller than quart) and do two in front, the others slightly off to the sides. It gives it a little bit of movement and sway.

Hips and legs can be best done with foam padding like from a craft section. I'm still working on this bit.

  14. Wow, all these directions are great. I am a female that has been stuffing and wearing fat suits for some time. I really like the trash bag belly directions. I like the large hanging belly feel and movement.
